Press Kit and Assets
Everything you need to write about, feature, or showcase Underroot, in one place and ready to use.
What the press kit contains
The usual assets a writer, curator, or content creator reaches for:
- Logo — the Underroot wordmark for headers, thumbnails, and storefronts.
- Key art — the main illustration: the village above, the deep below, and the Maw at the edge. Warm on top, dread underneath.
- Screenshots — in-game captures spanning the surface village and the descent underground.
- Trailer — video footage of Underroot in motion.
- Fact sheet — the quick-reference card: title, tagline, studio, genre, platforms, price, engine. See the Game Fact Sheet.
- Boilerplate — the short "about" paragraph and one-liner, so the details stay consistent across coverage.
Boilerplate you can quote
Use these as-is. They're the approved short descriptions of the game.
One-liner:
Every layer buys time. Underroot is an idle survival-crafter about digging deep to keep a doomed village alive one more day.
About paragraph:
Underroot is a single-player idle survival-crafter from Swavvy AB. You are the lone digger of a village at the edge of the world, and the Maw is coming to eat it. Tunnel downward for the materials to wall it out, feed and grow the survivors above, and when you finally fall, your lineage takes up the shovel and digs on. Underroot plays free in your browser or on PC (Windows and Linux), keeps working while you are away, and never asks for a cent unless you want to give one.
Where to get it
The press kit and its assets live at underroot.se. Need something that isn't posted there — a specific resolution, more captures, the trailer file for embedding? Ask, and we'll get it to you.
A note for press and creators
The game is free in the browser, so the easiest way to get a feel for it is to play it. Coverage, streams, and videos are all welcome. When you write about it, the fact sheet and boilerplate above will keep the details straight.
